a wonderfully productive and Prosperous New Year!

Tis the season...

It has been almost a month since anything was added here - how time flies! It is that time of year...

Our Christmas Luncheon was a roaring success in Joyce's new home. Calligraphers do know how to cook! the lunch was great. Our card exchange just gets better and better and the gift exchange was wonderful, with lots of very useful presents from Santa.

I hope everyone has a Happy Christmas and a Wondrous New Year! and then it will be back to work for us.

Our January meeting is on the 12th. Remember! this is our Annual General Meeting and the Elections for a new Executive. Please consider where you would like to volunteer to help this year.

We have a few things to discuss about upcoming months, most importantly what we would like the instructors to teach us - Carrie Imai in March and Thomas Hoyer in June.

We will also be exploring the use of embossing. The list of supplies is in the newsletter - if you have them, otherwise, we will share.

See you in the New Year!

Mark Twain quote

I have darkened the quote in Photoshop but one misses the subtle pencil work.....at least the letter forms are easier to see.

More Island Magic class work

Here is an example of work that we did in Peter Thornton's class where we studied the works of Adolf Bernd. Peter is hoping to have an exhibit of Bernd's work at the Chicago conference in July, 2008.
